Naira Zohrabyan Meets the Ambassador of Italy to Armenia

On October 12 the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration Naira Zohrabyan met with Giovanni Ricciulli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy to Armenia.

Naira Zohrabyan presented the viewpoint on the RA-EU future legal document of the Committee led by her. She noted that during these days she had met with the CoE Representative to Armenia and discussed the Action Plan initiated by the CoE for Armenia for 2015-2018, which includes a wide format of spheres: protection of human rights, rule of law in the system of justice, combating corruption and the support of democratic administration. Mrs Zohrabyan has underlined in future the Committee will present its Action Plan in the abovementioned directions and an attempt will be made to jointly work on them. The Committee Chair also noted that she had repeatedly discussed with the Embassies of the European countries accredited in the RA and the EU Ambassadors represented in the RA the issue of direct budgetary financing being implemented by the EU and the parliamentary oversight towards the monetary programmes, noting that by the support of the EU Representation those mechanisms should act more efficiently.

As PAP Chair Naira Zohrabyan also presented the position of the party on the constitutional amendments. The sides also discussed issues concerning the inner-political and external political problems.
