Prosperous Armenia Party will not participate in the upcoming elections of the Yerevan City Council and will not support any of the political forces.

As a result of open and difficult discussions with party members and representatives of territorial structures, it was finally decided that Prosperous Armenia Party will not participate in the upcoming elections of the Yerevan City Council and will not support any of the political forces.

I do not deny it there were different points of view, different arguments and counter-arguments were made.

The final decision was made, taking account two main factors.

1. At the moment, the party is undergoing an intensive phase of transformations and structural and substantive reformation.
2. Due to the situation prevailing in Artsakh at present, there is no atmosphere of real debate and discussion about development and urban issues of Yerevan in our society.

PAP wishes good luck to the forces participating in the elections, for the benefit of our people and the welfare of Yerevan residents.
