Meeting with residents of the city of Spitak was held at the square named after Viktor Yanukovich. Gathered citizens of Spitak were welcomed by the presidential adviser Nikolay Demyanko, Metropolitan Volodymyr, and PAP president Gagik Tsarukyan.

In his speech PAP president noted the importance of the visit of the spiritual leader of Ukraine in the development of friendly and cordial relations between the Armenian and Ukrainian nations. "During the worst moments for Armenian people Ukrainian people offered a helping hand from the earthquake destroyed our country. In this case, his memorable role was played by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich. Today for us is an additional reason to express our gratitude to our friends "- said in his speech PAP president. From the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Gagik Tsarukyan was awarded with medal.
