This generation must be valued and protected; it is priceless. They are Armenia’s greatest asset

The projects presented at the youth competition of the “Proposal for Armenia” program—and the young people behind them—have given me renewed energy and inspiration.
When so many talented young people and students come together in one room, and when a single competition features such a wealth of thoughtful and original ideas, one can be confident that this generation will lead Armenia to major achievements. I have absolutely no doubt about this. A country with such a generation cannot be weak or powerless.
This generation must be valued and protected; it is priceless. These young people are Armenia’s greatest asset.
We must do everything possible to ensure that they stay in Armenia, and we must also do everything possible to encourage those who have left to return. This is a matter of strategic importance and a central priority of the “Proposal for Armenia” program.
If we want a strong, modern, and prosperous Armenia, we must make every effort to ensure that our young people:
1. remain in Armenia;
2. have meaningful opportunities for growth and development;
3. build families and raise children in Armenia.
These goals can only be achieved through practical programs and effective, professional implementation.
We do not have to look far for examples. Many of the young participants in the competition identified difficulty in finding a first job as one of their most serious challenges.
This is an issue that must be addressed at the state level. A high-performing graduate with honors and strong prospects should not complete their studies only to find themselves without work or opportunity.
The state itself needs skilled professionals. If we eliminate appointments based on personal connections, friendships, or party affiliation within the public system, many positions will open up for talented young specialists.
The state can—and must—also work closely with the private sector to solve this problem. Everyone needs capable professionals. Solutions can be found that both the recent graduates and the businesses can benefit and ultimately serve the interests of the country as a whole.
There is always a solution when a problem is properly defined. In this case, the students themselves proposed practical solutions through their projects.
One of the least acceptable phrases for me is: “There is no solution to this problem.” This is spoken when the solution has not been found yet. Every problem has a solution—some are simply more complex than others.
A comprehensive youth support program must address the full cycle of building a life in Armenia: employment, education, entrepreneurship, creativity, access to housing, and reliable social protections.
I say this with full responsibility: when there is clarity about the problem and the political will to act, every challenge can be overcome.
Young people need justice, fair values, and clear rules that ensure honest competition.
One of the core objectives of the “Proposal for Armenia” program is to build a country grounded in fairness and integrity.
A nation with such a talented generation, a state with such outstanding young people, is certain to achieve great success.
Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to these bright young people and to their parents.
