On 9th October, with great solemnity was celebrated the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the Nor Achn town, as well as 90 years of heroic Achn battle. The guest of honor at the celebration was an honorary citizen of Nor Achn, president of the “Prosperous Armenia" party Gagik Tsarukyan.

Mr. Tsarukyan was welcomed by citizens with bread and salt. Prior to the anniversary events guests laid a wreath at the memorial to the victims of the Achn heroic battle.

In the frame of the celebration Cilician Armenians history museum was completely renovated, mark the opening of which was given the honorary guests.

It should be noted also that students of Nor Achn always in the spotlight of PAP president. "As an honorary citizen of Nor Achn, I always pay attention to the city. On the occasion of this day I want to present a bus to Nor Achn students, so they easily could visit educational institutions in Yerevan, "- said in a speech Gagik Tsarukyan.

Mr. Tsarukyan also noted that by his funds the longstanding wish of the citizens will be realized, the church will be built in the city, a fundament of which will be supplied this year.
