At the European championship on boxing among 13th and 14th year in Grozny 9 out of 12 members of the Armenian team won medals. Among the 16 teams the Armenian team won the second place only left Russia in front.

To meet and greet the first young boxers came president of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan.
