In the Sport-Concert Complex named after Karen Demirchyan on 12th February the 5th Congress of “Prosperous Armenia” Party was held, which was attended by President Serzh Sargsyan, representatives of “Prosperous Armenia” party’s coalition partners the Republican Party of Armenia and "Orinats Erkir", as well as representatives of the ARF and "Heritage" party.

Present 2002 delegates unanimously approved the presidium of the Congress and the agenda. After the report of the Credentials Commission, floor was given to the president of PAP Gagik Tsarukyan. " I welcome you on the Fifth Congress of “Prosperous Armenia" party. Preceding the Congress two years for our country were a period of hard work, confront to external and internal problems "- said in his speech PAP president Gagik Tsarukyan,-"Dear party members, ahead of us are consistently and persistently work for the good of our state and our citizens’ welfare". In the end of the speech PAP president wished productive work to present.

On the agenda was also presented report of the "Prosperous Armenia" party’s revision commission, voted on the issue of changing PAP program. Both questions were adopted unanimously, after which it was announced about “Prosperous Armenia” party president election.

Gagik Tsarukyan was unanimously re-elected as the president of “Prosperous Armenia” party. After congratulations on the re-election, PAP president Gagik Tsarukyan delivered a speech and thanked for the expression of confidence.

On the agenda of the fifth congress was also electing a new political council of PAP. Congress approved the newly elected political council of PAP.

The delegates of the PAP 5-th Congress approved the newly elected PAP revision Commission.
