The representatives of winter sports of Armenia are seriously preparing for the Olympic Games to be held in Vancouver, Canada in 2010. ANOC President Gagik Tsarukyan indicates the importance of first-class specialists in training of high-quality sportsmen and sportswomen. That is the reason why ANOC invited an internationally known specialist, Alpine skiing trainer Werner Margreiter.

From January 27 to February 4, 2009, within the framework of International Olympic Committee “Olympic Solidarity” organization’s project, Werner Margreiter led technical-training courses in Tsaghkadzor Olympic town. 25 Alpine skiing coaches from Yerevan, Tsaghkadzor, Vanadzor and Aparan participated in these courses.

Along with theoretical classes, Werner Margreiter also conducted practical trainings. The specialists were learning novelties of this sports right on the snow, which are now being passed to their students. Armenian National Olympic Committee has one goal of gaining prestige for participating in winter core sports festival in Vancouver.

W. Margreiter has a big authority in sport world. He has trained the national teams of USA, Austria and Germany.
