I congratulate you on this day that symbolizes one of the most important acquisitions of the Armenian nation, the Republic Day.

To every nation a peak of political self-organization is the creation of national statehood. In this sense, we Armenians are unique, as the course of our history was accompanied by a life-and-death struggle for independence and statehood. 28th of May 1918 was a logical continuation of this struggle. Thousands of Armenian sons with the cost of life and blood restored the lost for centuries Armenian statehood, First Armenian Republic was born. Despite its short existence it managed to unite the Armenians scattered over after the Genocide, to organize the inner life of the people, and create all the attributes necessary for statehood.

In the political consciousness of the new generation must always remain the idea that independence and national statehood is irreplaceable values, that the security of each of us, wealth and prosperity due to factors of our nation unity and the existence of a strong state.

On the occasion of this wonderful May celebration I wish our people peace, prosperity and new victories.
