On 17th of July with a visit to Armenia is deputy chairman of the Russian Federation's Government Alexander Zhukov. At the conclusion of the meeting of high officials president of the Olympic Committee of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan and president of Olympic Committee of Russia Alexander Zhukov signed the agreement on which supposes the construction of global scale sports complex in the Lake Sevan area. Assumes that complex, like sports facilities, will serve not only Armenian, but also athletes from the CIS.

The parties agreed to develop bilateral cooperation and strengthen the Olympic movement. Tournaments and sport trainings will be held in collaboration. Also there will be cooperation in the scientific and technical fields which are conducting development of sports movement. Presidents of the two Olympic committees agreed to organize conferences and courses for athletes, coaches and sports leaders.
