At the autumn session of Armenia’s National Assembly starting on September 14, the position of chairman of the Ethics Committee will be transferred to a representative of the largest opposition faction, according to the Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly. 

Member of Prosperous Armenia faction Vahan Babayan may head the commitee this time. Babayan told Panorama.am that their faction did not discuss the issue so far. “If I am proposed as candidate during this session as well, I will agree,” he said. 
Arpine Hovhannisyan from RPA faction served as the Ethics Committee chairwoman during the previous session.
