Armenian National Olympic Committee president Gagik Tsarukyan awarded with National Olympic Committee medals several sports trainers who had their valuable contribution in the physical education and sports sphere of Republic.

Afterwards the first vice-president of Armenian National Olympic Committee, president of “Hayastan” sport union Razmik Stepanyan presented a detailed, final report of Armenian National Olympic Committee activities in 2005/2008 years sports cycle. He also presented ANOC financing activities at that same period of time.

Among agenda special importance questions were also elections of ANOC president, assistant directors and executive committee members. Gagik Tsarukyan who showed his personal participation in today’s sports achievements was re-nominated as an Olympic Committee president. Expressing his appreciation for trusting him again such a responsible duty, Gagik Tsarukyan assured that he will continue working by these principles, and do everything possible in order to improve all the Beijing reported achievements in 2012 London Olympic Games.

Gagik Tsarukyan once again re-affirmed his opinion that different fields will be governed only by those who by their professional qualifications will meet the requirements set for holding the corresponding posts.

“We can be friends out of business, but when we are working I am going to be exacting”,-said ANOC president Gagik Tsarukyan.  “I myself do not have a relative for whom to seek a job and I am not going to do favours to anyone in this matter. I have announced this long ago. And you have been assured that this is the way I announced. I mean the fact of replacing main and secondary coaches of national team with other specialists in some types of sports. This refers to sports school principals too. Who doesn’t yield results will give up his post to someone else. It will continue being this way until those who are really considered the most worthy will be found. Now I am letting all of you know that we will sign one year work contracts with national team coaches, sports principals. There will be a distinctive probation period. Only those who will justify the expectations, undertake their duties will continue working. Otherwise we will say goodbye to each other”.

The responsibility of putting forward ANOC vice-presidents and secretary general candidature the auditorium trusted already re-elected Gagik Tsarukyan, as they are going to work together during first years, therefore they are going to implement sports policy and also take all the responsibilities together. And at last all the participants of this special congress endorsed the candidates presented by Mr.Tsarukyan. Razmik Stepanyan’s candidacy as the first vice-president and Vahram Arakelyan, Derenik Gabrielyan, Hoksen Mirzoyan’s candidacy as president assistants, and also Armen Grigoryan’s candidacy as a secretary general.

At the last part of the congress the participants endorsed ANOC executive committee staff. As a result the number of committee members reached to the number of 20 members, which is by one member more compared to the previous committee.
