he Memorial of Yezidi freedom fighter Gagik Hajoyan, who died heroically in Artsvashen in 1992, was opened in Artashat. It was the initiative of "Sinjar" Yezidi Union, which is headed by Boris Murazi, who is the Chairman of the PAP Committee on National Minorities.
The Opening Ceremony of Memorial was attended by the representatives of the PAP governing body, the representatives of "Sinjar" Yezidi Union and the Yezidi Community. The Monument was opened by the sister of the Yezidi hero and the PAP Leader Naira Zohrabyan.
The PAP Leader mentioned in her speech that in the upcoming days on the PAP initiative at Artashavan secondary school, where the April war hero Kyaram Sloyan has studied, a military classroom will be opened, which will be named after him.
“Appreciating our heroes and doing little things to perpetuate their memory, we teach our children to be citizens like our heroes,- she said”.
