Today, the Leader of the “Prosperous Armenia” party Naira Zohrabyan and the representatives of the party’s governing body met with Ryszard Czarnecki, the Vice-President of the European Parliament in the PAP office. The “Prosperous Armenia” party is a member of the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists and Ryszard Czarnecki is also a member of this Alliance. The PAP Leader has stressed the importance of receiving the negotiating mandate to put Armenia-EU relations on a new legal basis and has expressed the hope that negotiations will be concluded for the two sides with a mutually acceptable and beneficial legal document. The Vice-President of the European Parliament has also stressed the importance of the new start of Armenia-EU negotiations and has reaffirmed that Armenia is an important partner for them. As the Vice-President of the European Parliament mentioned during the conversation, the “Prosperous Armenia” party has a very high public trust positions and we hope that this positions will be maintained until the next Parliamentary elections.

Then, the sides have discussed issues related to the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists and the upcoming projects of the Alliance including the annual conference of the Alliance in Yerevan at the invitation of the “Prosperous Armenia” party. The meeting was also attended by Eduardo Lorenzo Ochoa, the Director of European Friends of Armenia.
