PAP: We should speak about true Karabakh War veterans
YEREVAN. – Today, on the 23rd anniversary of the liberation of Shushi [in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic], we need to speak especially about the real Karabakh War veterans living in socially insecure conditions.
Opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Chairperson Naira Zohrabyan, who on Saturday visited Victory Park in capital city Yerevan together with several PAP representatives, told about the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“Today we have a large group of freedom fighters who truly were devotees participating in the [Karabakh] war, (…) but today, they are pinched with hunger,” Zohrabyan said. “Many of them have emigrated today, since they were unable to take care of their family in a dignified way.”
Naira Zohrabyan also congratulated the Armenian nation on the May anniversaries.
The PAP members placed flowers before the eternal flame of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
