NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Continues Debating the Report of the HRD
On May 6 the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs moderated by Elinar Vardanyan continued the debate of the RA Human Rights Defender (HRD) “On the Activities of the RA Human Rights Defender and the Violation of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms” according to the spheres.
At the sitting the RA Deputies Ombudsman Armen Grigoryan and Tatevik Khachatryan presented the reports concerning the RA National Security Service, the RA Ministry of Healthcare and RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
The RA Deputy Ombudsman Armen Grigoryan presented the recorded positive developments, shortcomings and problems registered in the National Security Service.
Responding to the report, the Head of the Department of the RA National Security Service Araik Avetisyan has underlined that a number of problems existing in the sphere need solution.
Referring to the RA Ministry of Healthcare the Deputy Ombudsman Tatevik Khachatryan has noted the achievements existing in the sphere.
Responding to the shortcomings in the report, the RA Deputy Healthcare Minister Vahan Poghosyan stated that a lot of works were done in 2015 compared with 2014. He recorded that some issues enjoyed attention through the report of the Ombudsman Office.
The next report of the HRD Office related to the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
Touching upon the existing problems in the spheres Tatevik Khachatryan registered the positive developments in the sphere.
