ARMENIAN-CHINESE RELATIONS GET A NEW CHARGE

On April 12 "Prosperous Armenia" party president Gagik Tsarukyan met with the delegation headed by a permanent member of the Political Bureau of Chinese Communist Party Li Changchun.
Welcoming the guests the leader of "Prosperous Armenia" party Gagik Tsarukyan in terms of development of bilateral relations between the two countries stressed the importance of such high-level visits. "China has always been a reliable friend and partner of Armenia, it is for this reason, and the deepening of relations with China is an important priority in our country’s foreign policy. We are confident that based between our parties strong ties gratefully will support in the development of Armenian-Chinese interstate relations, "- noted PAP president.
During the conversation the sides noted back in 2008 meeting where an agreement was reached on to more deepen cooperation on inter-party level, as well as initiate activities promoting political and trade-economic, scientific and agricultural cooperation. During this time, there were numerous cross-parties meetings, organized conferences promoting the deepening of Armenian-Chinese business relations.
Li Changchun, in turn, noted that Armenia and China have a centuries-old history and great contribution to human civilization and everything should be done for long-term strengthening of friendly relations. "Mr. Tsarukyan, I’m very happy to be in Armenia and for the opportunity to meet again with you. After our last meeting you have done unspeakably great job for the development and improvement of Armenian-Chinese relations, and I can say with confidence that our partnership entered a new phase. Today the purpose of our visit, to promote political dialogue between the ruling parties of countries, mutual cooperation and development of Armenian-Chinese traditional friendship, "- said Chinese senior official.
