NOCA PRESIDENT GAGIK TSARUKYAN MET THE YOUNG OLYMPIANS

Held on 15-26 August in Singapore Summer Youth Olympic Games 3500
athletes participated aged 14-18 from 204 countries. In this global
competition Armenia represent 14 young Olympians, 4 of them returned
home with medals.
Leaders of national sports, headed by President of Olympic Committee of
Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan came to meet winner athletes in the Zvartnots
airport.
Gor Minasyan (85kg) from Gyumri took a second place in weightlifting
and won silver medal for the Armenian team. His teammates another
weightlifter from Yerevan Smbat Margaryan (56kg), weightlifter from
Armavir Artak Hovhannisyan (46kg) and judoka from Vanadzor David
Ghazaryan returned with bronze medals.
