According to the calendar of Armenian Apostolic Church, February 7 is St. Sargis’ day. Upon the initiative of “Prosperous Armenia”  Party, many young people gathered together to celebrate Warrior St. Sargis’ day. PAP president Gagik Tsarukyan came to congratulate young people. He once again mentioned the important role and meaning of youth in the social-political life of our country and congratulated them on the holiday and wished the love solicitor be the guardian of all young people.

Confessor Tirayr, spiritual pastor of Saint Hovhannes Church explained the essence of this holiday. Several gifted young people, members of PAP were encouraged within the frames of this event. They had won the leading positions in several international competitions in various spheres. They received money awards worth of 100 thousand AMD and souvenirs.

At the end of the event the participants went on pilgrimage to Saint Sargis Church. Young people lighted candles with the belief that the solicitor of love and young people will make the fulfillment of their kind wishes possible.

By the initiative of the PAP youth wing, events dedicated to the holiday of the solicitor of love and young people Saint Sargis started as early as February 6. Within the frames of this initiative, young people, under the musical accompaniment, were presenting salty cookies and congratulation cards with holiday interpretation in the streets of our capital and near educational institutions.
